I believe the CNN article “Anti-war protesters go digital: Demonstrators use technology to organize, publicize, evade” represents a victory for democracy.

People and subgroups that are not given adequate means of expression and a voice in their government should have the right and the means to demonstrate. I think it’s amazing that they were able to get so many people together, and so quickly!

This article reveals three huge benefits of new media outlets (be it the internet, text messaging, etc) that can be very helpful to those of us in the political or campaign arena: people were able to congregate on short notice, it was of little direct cost to the original organizers and a snowball effect was created which resulted in more participants than were initially known to be interested… just think of the possibilities all you campaign managers in training!!! :)
