In a phone call recorded by PageOneQ and blogACTIVE.com, Robert Traynham, Director of Communications for United States Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) has said he is an out gay man who completely supports the Senator.I could list some of my favorite Santorum quotes (bestiality anyone?) or just launch into a tirade about how any self respecting gay person could actually help a right-wing nut like that, but I think I'm just going to have a drink. Vodka is the only thing that still makes sense in this crazy world.
Robert Traynham, I'm not sure how you sleep at night, but I feel immensely sad for you.

I heard the same thing over this past weekend. I don't even know how this staffer could work for a member that is so hateful to what he is. I supposedly heard that the senator won't allow it to change things. I'm just thoroughly annoyed.
Good ole' Rick Santorum. I think that he is as bad as Jesse Helms and Strom Thrumond back in the day. It says levels about the Republican Party that this man who spews hatred and divisiness is thought of as one of the leaders of the Party. Shame on Republicans for allowing such comments to be made with acceptance from many within the Party.
Robert Traynham is gay and black, working for a Republican Senator who wants to restrict and/or remove rights based off both of those identities.
I bet he sleeps with handcuffs and a whip at night. I mean you really have to be self-loathing to be where he is today.
