Keep it Simple Stupid
As we sat in lecture last night the one reoccuring theme that kept coming up was that please make it easy for user to find what they need. How true that is. People love to haver thier needs anticipated and why not it makes for brilliant business. Politics is finally picking up the tricks that Retail has done for years.
Having worked in retail for 8 years it was drilled into us that always suggest or anticipate what a consumer would want. Classic example: Consumer walks in to buy a pair of tennis shoes. In closing the sale suggest/anticipate if they need shoe accessories such as shoe polish, shoe cleaner, or extra shoelaces.
Consumers always loved feeling like they were valued and what Internet websites do for the voters is what I used to do for the consumer. Make thier trip/experience as pleasant as possible while making effcient use of thier time by being quick, courteous and making it easier for them to find thier product
