From the Mouths of Babes

After reading Nielsen’s "Usability of Web Sites for Teenagers," I think that what teenagers expect from a Web Site is pretty much what we should all want. Basically, teens want a site that is eye-catching and not boring, one that doesn’t take much time to download, and one that isn’t wordy. Well, I think if we listened to what these teenagers want, we’d create better overall sites. Emi and Phil say in Winning Campaigns Online that the best sites are easy to use, have a download time of 15 seconds or less, have top-quality photos and graphics, and have well-written pages among other things. So maybe these kids, oops I mean teens, do know what they are talking about and can teach us something.
